Dubai Glydways Automated Transit System Begins Trial at Bluewaters Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority has kicked off a trial run of the Dubai Glydways automated transit system at Bluewaters, a Dubai Retail destination under Dubai Holding.
The authority's chief subsequently took a ride in a Dubai Glydways vehicle along the designated route at Bluewaters.
The five-minute journey signalled the beginning of the Dubai Glydways trial operation, which will run for four weeks.
The trial follows a cooperation agreement between the authority and Glydways aimed at launching Dubai's first automated transit network programme of its kind.
The initiative is intended to bolster the public transport system, widen mobility choices for residents and visitors, and enhance access to Metro stations, key attractions and major destinations throughout the emirate.
