European automakers look to Nvidia for self-driving tech

Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, and other partners are collaborating with Nvidia to advance self-driving technology in Europe.Nvidia presented its initiatives at the GTC event in Berlin, highlighting projects aimed at developing robotaxis, vans, and freight trucks.

Self-driving updates The Nvidia Hyperion includes hardware and software options for automakers, streamlining the integration of autonomous systems.

Bolt intends to implement Nvidia’s Alpamayo Stack for its European robotaxi fleet, beginning with Lucid vehicles built on the Hyperion platform.

Mercedes-Benz works towards Level 3 and Level 4 driving systems using Hyperion and Alpamayo.

Nvidia’s Halos Safe system aims to ensure high safety standards in robotaxis by linking simulation, software, and field tests.
