Fanatec has released a new hotfix for stability problems affecting some Gran Turismo DD Pro wheelbases following Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.71. The problems emerged after the August 20 update, which introduced substantial force feedback changes and officially enabled FullForce effects on the PlayStation-compatible Gran Turismo DD Pro. Users subsequently reported wheelbase disconnections, complete loss of force feedback and abnormal steering behaviour. In more serious cases, drivers described the wheel suddenly oscillating or applying strong forces before the base shut down or required a restart. Fanatec initially investigated the reports alongside Polyphony Digital and issued temporary guidance advising affected users to reduce the FullForce strength setting. The company has now followed that investigation with a dedicated software and firmware hotfix.
