This week, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) renewed its focus on the U.S. Cyber Trust Mark Internet of Things (IoT) labeling program, which was first kicked off in 2023.

On October 27, 2026, the FCC issued a Public Notice seeking comment on implementation of the Cyber Trust Mark program.

Companies that make, buy, or sell consumer IoT products should consider providing feedback to the FCC on this Public Notice.

The FCC has suggested that products bearing the Cyber Trust Mark will have an advantage in the marketplace.

Background The Cyber Trust Mark program dates to the Biden Administration, which announced the program in July 2023.
