FIA confirms <b>sim racing</b> hill climb competition

- The FIA to run hill climb esports sim racing competition

- Uses RaceRoom, with qualifying opening in August

- In-person finale, hosted in Luxembourg

The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile has confirmed a second major 2026 sim racing initiative in Macau at the World Motor Sport Council.

Following the FIA Esports Global Rally Tour, an Assetto Corsa Rally-utilising competition currently underway, is the FIA Esports European Hill Climb Cup.

It will culminate in a Luxembourg-based in-person finale this October (11th-13th), where the eight quickest drivers will compete against each other. Using RaceRoom Racing Experience, an online qualifying stage will begin on 20th August and close on 9th September 2026.

The tournament will use the 134 Judd V8 vehicle, which features a high-revving engine originally designed for single-seater and prototype racing. The venue will be the ‘RaceRoom Hillclimb’, a fictional track created for the simulation.
