The Forum marks the first public milestone since the launch of the European Connected and Autonomous Vehicle Alliance (ECAVA) in October 2025 and its working groups in February 2026. Under the theme "From collaboration to deployment", participants will discuss how to transform technical cooperation into concrete industrial action and large-scale deployment. Opening the event, Executive Vice-President Henna Virkkunen will launch the Autonomous Drive Ambition Cities (ADACities) flagship initiative to accelerate the deployment of AI-enabled autonomous mobility solutions in European cities. The conference will focus on Europe's position in the rapidly evolving global automotive landscape; investment and technology gaps across the digital automotive ecosystem, opportunities for international cooperation, and pathways to scaling autonomous mobility solutions. Participants from Europe, Japan, UK and US will share experiences and explore partnerships. ECAVA members will present the Alliance's draft technology roadmaps and priorities for software-defined vehicles, data pooling and foundational AI model development for the Autonomous driving stack, next-generation automotive hardware, and the deployment of autonomous vehicles. Representatives from the European Commission and European Parliament will give updates on the implementation of the Automotive Action Plan and related initiatives. The event will conclude with an online Information Day on 25 June on ADACities Call for Expression of Interest, open to all interested stakeholders. The online seminar will be available on the Commission’s streaming service. The Forum comes at a pivotal moment for the European automotive sector. Building on the Commission's Automotive Action Plan and Apply AI Strategy, ECAVA aims to strengthen EU's technological sovereignty, accelerate innovation and the development of a competitive European ecosystem for software-defined and autonomous vehicles.
