Ford Energy: Dave Carroll to Replace Lisa Drake as President Ford Motor Company has named Dave Carroll as president of Ford Energy, effective 31 August, as the business moves towards scaling battery energy storage solutions. Dave joins from ENGIE North America, where he served as CEO and Chief Renewables Officer and grew renewables operating assets more than 12 times over six years. He succeeds Lisa Drake, who will retire at the end of 2026 following a 32-year career with Ford. Bringing renewable experience to Ford Energy Dave will oversee Ford Energy’s end-to-end operations, spanning battery cell manufacturing, system assembly, commercial strategy and sales. He will report to John Lawler, Ford Vice Chair, with his appointment bringing experience across renewable energy development, engineering, construction and operations. Before joining Ford, Dave spent more than six years at ENGIE North America, where he held senior leadership positions including CEO of the North America region and Chief Renewables Officer. During his tenure, he grew the company’s renewables operating assets by more than 12 times. He also recently served as chair of the American Clean Power Association’s board of directors. His earlier career included senior positions at Avangrid Renewables and EDF Renewables. At Avangrid Renewables, he led engineering, development engineering, project management, resource assessment and construction groups responsible for approximately US$1bn in annual revenue.
