The 11th annual event invites residents to walk, bike, explore, and connect on Sunday, October 18 By North Forty News Staff | NorthFortyNews.com FORT COLLINS — One of Fort Collins’ signature community events returns Sunday, October 18, as Open Streets transforms Laurel Street into a temporary car-free gathering space filled with activities, entertainment, and opportunities for residents to connect.

The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. along Laurel Street between Mason Street and Shields Street.

Now in its 11th year, Open Streets encourages residents to experience city streets differently by replacing regular vehicle traffic with an environment designed for pedestrians, bicyclists, families, and community activities.

The event supports Fort Collins’ broader emphasis on active transportation and creating public spaces that accommodate people of different ages and abilities.
