French quantum computing company Quandela is pushing forward with quantum chip manufacturing that leverages South Korea's semiconductor ecosystem.
The vision is to leverage South Korea's semiconductor process and packaging capabilities in the quantum chip manufacturing process.
The company is also working with Yonsei University, the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology, and the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science.
If quantum chip manufacturing collaboration with South Korean semiconductor companies materializes, South Korea could expand its role in the quantum computing hardware supply chain, following its positions in AI memory and foundry services.
As Quandela considers South Korea as one of its potential production bases outside Europe, attention is focused on how quickly its engagement with the South Korean semiconductor ecosystem will expand.
