A new week brings a new set of Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races, with three fresh events now live and running through next Monday. It’s a reasonably standard lineup of a one-make sprint, Gr.4 middle-distance, and Gr.3 finale, though Race C has enough tire wear to give it a proper strategic element. Race A puts the Nissan 180SX Type X ’96 around the short layout at Fuji Speedway on Sports Hard tires. It’s a four-lap, twelve-car sprint with car settings locked to Specified, so it’s a pure driver test with no setup work to do beforehand. Race B is Gr.4 around High Speed Ring for six laps on Racing Hards, with no mandatory stop and a BOP/Tuning restriction weighted toward top-end pace rather than cornering grip. Race C is the strategy race this week. Thirteen laps of the Red Bull Ring in Gr.3 with 2x fuel, 4x tire wear, and a single mandatory pit stop. Racing Softs are the only dry compound available, so there’s no compound decision to make, just the question of when to stop. At 4x wear those Softs will be well past their peak by the end of a long stint, and the Red Bull Ring’s heavy traction zones out of Turns 1 and 3 punish worn rubber more than most layouts.
