Paired with Sports Medium tires on a track full of fiddly corners and abrupt direction changes, this one is going to demand precision. And then there are Yas Marina’s track limits, which have a reputation for being punishingly strict. Expect to see a few otherwise-clean laps thrown out because a rear wheel dared to breathe on the wrong piece of curbing. Time Targets The world record currently sits at 2:00.152. That puts the gold threshold (3%) at 2:03.756, silver (5%) at 2:06.159, and bronze (10%) at 2:12.167. With BOP and fixed settings leveling the playing field, the gap between you and gold comes down to how cleanly you can thread through Yas Marina’s tighter sequences without tripping the limits.
