We believe that the launch of the new electric SUV could take place in Q1, 2027, between January and March. This confirmation follows the commencement of extensive public road testing that kicked off from Honda’s Tapukara facility in Rajasthan. It also signals a massive, localised shift in the Japanese automaker’s global EV roadmap. Honda has also confirmed that the electric SUV will be made in India and made for India and world. It will also be exported to international markets, including Japan. The spy images suggest that the production version will remain true to its original concept. The Honda 0 Alpha EV concept based SUV will have a unique design, featuring a flat tailgate and a large glass area. It will offer strong road presence with an upright stance and boxy shape. Honda Cars India will be focussing on offering spacious and practical cabin. It will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, Mahindra BE 6 and the upcoming Tata Sierra EV. The new electric SUV will be tested across highways, city conditions and different terrains to evaluate durability, efficiency and overall performance. The new Honda 0 Alpha EV
