PORTLAND, Ore. (InvestigateTV) — A new racing simulator center has opened in Portland, giving drivers access to technology used to train professional racers.

Driving a racing simulator is harder than it looks, but in the e-sports industry, people who master sim racing are turning the skill into a career.

E-sports, or competitive video gaming, has grown in popularity over the years, with sim racing gaining an engaged fan base.

“Sim racing and racing in general is something I want to do.

And I mean, there’s a bunch of different opportunities within the sim world, but the sim world can also lead to opportunities in the real world,” Thomas said.
