At its heart is the Quantum Nighthawk processor with 120 qubits and 218 tunable couplers.

IBM Quantum System Two is installed at street level behind large glass panels, making it visible from outside the building as well.

Quantum System Two will become a central part of the National Quantum Algorithm Center, or NQAC.

According to IBM, the new system uses a Quantum Nighthawk r2 processor.

The Nighthawk processor’s 120 qubits should therefore not be equated with 120 fully error-corrected logical qubits.
