ID. Tiguan to Replace ID.4 & ID.5 in October

Tiguan, will make its world premiere in early October, is designed to replace the ID.4 and ID.5 and reach markets at the start of 2027.

The disguised prototype images released so far show new headlights and taillights, and Autoblog observed that some of the ID.4’s rounded lines have given way to squarer, more defined panels.

Volkswagen has said the ID.4’s successor will offer intuitive operation, a pointed phrase given the earlier criticism of the ID.4’s interface.

The North American electric SUV segment is crowded, and the ID.4’s software and design reputation will follow the ID.
