Igor Fraga had the best Saturday of his Super Formula career at Fuji Speedway, converting his first pole position in the series into his first full-length race victory.

With qualifying split into two groups, he finished second in his Q1 group, just 0.002 seconds behind Tadasuke Makino, before going fastest of all in Q2 to claim his first Super Formula pole.

Championship Picture With pole and the race win, Fraga now sits on 74 points, second in the standings.

Gran Turismo Roots As most GTPlanet readers will know, Fraga’s path to Super Formula started in Gran Turismo.

He picked up his first Super Formula win and Rookie of the Year honors at the end of 2025, then won again at Fuji in July in a rescheduled sprint race.
