NEW DELHI: Machine-to-machine (M2M) eSIM and IoT connectivity provider Sensorise on Thursday announced the launch of its next-generation GSM module, Wega M1, during the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026.

"This launch is an important milestone in our vision to build trusted connectivity infrastructure for India.

With the government’s impetus on data sovereignty and cyber security, the Wega M1 launch and proliferation will be an important compliant product for the Indian market," said Karn Nagpal, president at Sensorise.

Sensorise plans to commercialise the Wega M1 module in the first quarter of 2027, with initial select deployments planned alongside anchor enterprise customers.

The product development was prompted by security considerations surrounding data sovereignty and cyber incidents linked to imported cellular modules in a market historically dominated by global vendors.
