Innoviz Technologies and Switzerland-based autonomous delivery firm LOXO have signed a letter of intent (LOI) for the integration of Innoviz’s InnovizTwo Long-Range LiDAR into LOXO’s Level 4 Digital Driver autonomous driving stack. The two are in advanced testing, with LOXO intending to nominate Innoviz as the LiDAR supplier subject to successful completion. LOXO’s Digital Driver technology powers autonomous delivery using purpose-built and retrofitted electric vehicles for urban and regional logistics across Europe, with applications spanning transport, retail and postal delivery. The Swiss company is preparing to develop its next-generation driverless vehicles, with the LOI covering this upcoming platform. In a statement, Amin Amini, Co-Founder and Chief Executive of LOXO, said: “Our next-generation autonomous delivery platform demands sensing that always performs irrespective of distance, speed, and the unpredictable conditions of the real-world.
