Last chance to enter Rutland & Stamford Mercury Business Awards 2026 sponsored by Hegarty today as it is announced Apex Racing UK Ltd will bring racing simulators to ceremony Guests at the Rutland & Stamford Mercury Business Awards 2026 in partnership with Hegarty will have the chance to get behind the wheel and race! We have teamed up with Apex Racing UK Ltd, based in Corby, which will be bringing four professional racing simulators to the awards ceremony on Friday, September 18. Experienced staff will be on hand to ensure our guests get the most out of their driving experience. They will also host live organised hot lap competitions and live head-to-head racing with high-value prizes, such as corporate team-building racing days. Their Apex Racing Sim Centre, which has up to 14 high-end simulators, can be utilised for a wide range of events such as team building days, corporate events, product reveals, and keynote presentations. The introduction of the simulators is part of a change to the format of the ceremony, which will be less formal than previous events and include casino tables, light bites and street food and a theatre-style ceremony. The event will also feature a live auction, hosted by Golding Young, and among the money-can’t-buy prizes will be a mentoring session by Mike Greene. Other auction lots are still being sought and money raised from the auction will be donated to the winner of the Best Social Enterprise category. The awards are the longest established awards of their kind in the area, recognising the very best businesses across Stamford, Rutland, Bourne and the Deepings.
