LG CNS is partnering with Japanese telecommunications company KDDI to jointly pursue artificial intelligence (AI) transformation projects across the Asia-Pacific region.

LG CNS said on Oct. 14 that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with KDDI to cooperate on AI transformation (AX) and digital transformation (DX) businesses.

KDDI is one of Japan's three largest telecommunications companies, providing mobile communications, internet, cloud and enterprise information technology (IT) services.

In AI, the companies will explore providing customized services to local businesses using LG CNS's agentic AI platform, AgenticWorks.

In smart cities, LG CNS will combine its integrated urban control and intelligent transportation systems with KDDI's telecommunications infrastructure technology.
