For Lucid (LCID) investors, the past few years have not been easy, as the company’s stock price has fallen sharply.

In addition to building excellent electric vehicles, Lucid has been plagued by numerous problems, including production issues, project delays, layoffs to conserve cash, and severe talent attrition.

Bolt’s next goal is to bring 100,000 autonomous vehicles onto its platform by 2035, and Lucid is expected to play a key role in this development.

Lucid and Bolt announced a partnership that will fill part of this 100,000 autonomous vehicle target with 25,000 Lucid autonomous electric vehicles.

The agreement requires the three companies to deploy 20,000 Lucid Gravity robotaxis equipped with the Nuro Driver starting this year, and to enter a second city in 2027.
