According to the City of Malibu, the city will install about 8,000 linear feet of underground fiber between October and December 2026 as part of the LVMCOG Regional Smart Cities Fiber Network.
Malibu says the effort will extend more than 38 miles of high-capacity fiber across Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Malibu and Westlake Village.
Malibu also said the Malibu Canyon Road work in unincorporated Los Angeles County is expected to run through March 2027.
According to the City of Malibu, the city notice lists Malibu work areas on portions of Civic Center Way, Malibu Canyon Road and Webb Way/Stuart Ranch Road.
