Meath sim racer (19) given a real race car to compete at Mondello Park this weekend
‘I’ve gone from playing video games in my bedroom to racing a real race car’
For most the hum of a racing engine is a long way from a bedroom simulator game, but for 19-year-old Kamto Chukwureh from Dunboyne, that gap is about to close as he takes to Mondello Park this weekend.
After years spent racing virtually, Kamto will step onto a real grid for the first time having won his place through the Formula Vee Ireland Scholarships – an initiative that opens up motorsport to those without the usual financial backing.
