The industry supplier acquired assets of Luminar Technologies, including its long-range Halo and Iris lidar sensors, along with certain employees and contracts in February for $33 million through a bankruptcy auction. The prior month, MicroVision completed its acquisition of Germany-based Scantinel Photonics, the developer of ultra-long-range lidar technology targeted for the commercial vehicle market.
