Both vehicles are expected to launch by 2027 and will target different types of buyers. The company is focusing heavily on future-ready products under its Vision 3.0 plan. This includes EVs, hybrid vehicles, SUVs, and practical family cars. The upcoming YMC and YDB MPVs are expected to play an important role in this strategy. While the YMC will likely be a premium electric MPV, the YDB is expected to be a smaller and more affordable family car. The upcoming Maruti YMC is expected to be a fully electric MPV. Reports suggest it could share its platform and battery technology with the Maruti e Vitara EV. The e Vitara comes with 49kWh and 61.1kWh battery pack options and offers a claimed range of up to 543 km. Similar battery options could also be used in the YMC. The electric MPV is expected to measure around 4.5 metres in length, which means it should offer a spacious cabin with three rows of seating. Maruti is also likely to give the YMC several premium features such as a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, connected car technology, 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS safety features. The YMC could become one of the most premium vehicles in Maruti Suzuki’s lineup. Also Read: 2026 Skoda
