The Mazda RX-Vision concept racing car has been updated, following over 400,000 people driving the existing model virtually. The screaming, rotary-powered beast, used in the Gr.3 class of Gran Turismo 7 and part of the Manufacturers Cup World Series competition, is set for a revised model. During the second round of the series, teaser images were published showcasing a more aggressive aerodynamic package. This includes a larger splitter, new LED lamps in the lower part of the front bumper, larger side skirts and a dramatically larger rear diffuser and rear wing. Its name is the Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Evo and it’s simply listed as “coming soon.” The ‘Evo’ moniker relates to real-world GT3 models, often used for upgraded machinery. The Mazda is a work of fiction for the Gran Turismo games, as the Japanese car manufacturer does not have a model that competes in actual motorsport. Recently, the current Porsche 911 GT3 and Ferrari 296 GT3 models were added to the game without their ‘evo’ upgrades, although as these are minimal, they can be unofficially added through the purchase of new parts at GT Auto.
