No Range Aniexty for the Long Hauls of Volvo XC60 & XC90

On Tuesday, the Volvo unveiled new long-range plug-in hybrid versions of its XC60 and XC90 SUVs, claiming the longest electric-only range of any plug-in hybrid sold in the United States.

The pitch to customers is straightforward: electric range long enough to cover most daily driving, from school runs to commutes, without the anxiety of running out of charge on a longer trip.

Both the XC60 and XC90 will also continue to be offered in mild-hybrid form for buyers who want a simpler, less expensive option.

The XC90 Refines a Proven Formula Where the XC60 receives a visual overhaul, the XC90 update focuses more on refining what has already made it one of Volvo’s most acclaimed vehicles.

Production of the new XC60 and XC90 T8 AWD Long Range plug-in hybrids is set to begin later this fall, with customer deliveries expected to start in early 2027.
