German spin-qubit hardware developer NVision Quantum Technologies has been selected by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) under its Quantum Grand Challenge initiative (Decision No.

31/2026) to advance project QOSMOS (Quantum Computers based on Spin Qubits in Organic Molecules).

The PIQC platform pairs organic molecular spin-qubit processing units with photonic integrated circuits (PICs) to resolve the physical scaling limitations of nearest-neighbor quantum architectures.

Under the four-month QOSMOS project, NVision will establish benchmarking metrics, define hardware-software integration milestones, and map out initial target workloads centered on quantum simulations for chemistry and pharmaceutical research.
