'Only 21% of Industrial Firms Have Complete OT Asset Inventories'

Industrial organisations continue to face gaps in operational technology (OT) cybersecurity despite growing confidence in their security programmes.

Only 21% maintain a complete inventory of OT assets, according to Honeywell Technologies’ 2026 OT Cybersecurity Benchmark Report.

The report, based on a survey of more than 600 industrial cybersecurity leaders globally, found that 88% of respondents considered their OT cybersecurity programmes mature.

Among respondents in energy and utilities, 91% reported a significant OT cybersecurity incident in the previous 12 months.
