The alert originated from a Flock camera, which identified the vehicle as wanted in connection to a homicide out of Milwaukee County. Officers surrounded the silver SUV and detained two individuals while dispatchers worked to confirm the alert with Milwaukee police. "Can you just call over to Milwaukee and verify?" dispatchers said during the incident. Further communication revealed inconsistencies between the flagged vehicle and the actual suspect vehicle. "Milwaukee's entry states the suspect vehicle is a Buick Enclave with the BDL plates; however, the plate returned on a silver Chevy Traverse," dispatchers said. As the situation unfolded, it became evident there had been an error. "We are on the phone with Milwaukee trying to sort that out now. The plate they have entered just doesn't match anywhere," dispatchers said. Milwaukee police later clarified that the suspect vehicle, a Buick Enclave, may have already been recovered. "The Milwaukee supervisor is confirming with their detective's bureau. They're saying the suspect vehicle, which is the Enclave, may have already been recovered. They are asking that we hold off on a hit at this time," dispatchers said.
