Porsche Esports Supercup | Regional Championships | Mid-season report August 7th, 2026 by Justin Melillo The Porsche Esports Supercup World Championship Series is scheduled to start on September 19th at Spa-Francorchamps. Before that time comes, however, 32 drivers must earn their place on the grid through the first-ever Regional Championships. Not even the defending champion of the World Championship, Cooper Webster, has a spot locked in the World Championship. A total of 106 drivers across four regions are fighting for those 32 spots. Each region will send forth their top-eight in their final Regional Standings to compete for the World Championship. Each Region’s drivers have five races to get as many points as they can. So far, each Region has completed three of their five races, and the picture is starting to materialize as to who will make it to the World Championship level next month. Each Region first had to get up to 32 drivers, and that came from the official Porsche National Championships, such as the Carrera Cups in North America and Great Britain, as well as the Global Open Qualifiers through the iRacing official series competition in May and June. Eligible drivers were then selected and invited to compete in the Regional races. Now, we’re nearing the end of the Regional races, and the global competition is up next. REGIONAL RACE AND POINTS FORMAT Every week, a pair of regions are on display, trading off with the other two regions in play the following week, for 10 straight weeks of racing action. The season started six weeks ago on June 27th with the beginning to the Americas Region, as well as the Middle East and Africa Region.
