Police in Port Royal are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect connected to a series of vehicle break-ins.

According to the Port Royal Police Department, the incidents happened during the early morning hours of April 2 at the Vivo Apartments on Ribaut Road. Investigators say the suspect entered multiple unlocked vehicles in the area.

Authorities have now released surveillance video—slowed down for clarity—showing the individual believed to be responsible. At this time, the suspect has not been identified.

Police are urging anyone who recognizes the person in the video or has information about the case to contact the department or Beaufort County non-emergency dispatch.

Officials are also reminding residents to take simple precautions to prevent similar crimes, including locking car doors, removing valuables, avoiding leaving firearms or electronics inside vehicles, and reporting any suspicious activity.
