Quantum Systems expands into cross-domain autonomy with FERNRIDE acquisition

On 27 August 2026, Quantum Systems’ reported strategy of building a broader autonomy stack is supported by its 17 December 2025 acquisition of FERNRIDE, an autonomous-ground software company.

FERNRIDE’s own announcement says its platform covers ground autonomy for defence logistics, and that Quantum Systems intends to integrate it into MOSAIC UXS, its autonomous mission software, to connect aerial and ground robotics and improve situational awareness and decision-making. The announcement also says FERNRIDE had conducted initial tests with the German Armed Forces and had obtained TÜV approval for autonomous trucks in Europe in 2025.

This corroborates the newsletter’s central strategic point: Quantum Systems is extending beyond aerial ISR hardware towards multi-domain autonomy. The newsletter also describes international sales and further acquisitions, but those additional claims are not treated as independently verified here where a primary source was not available.
