Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) has partnered with TADA Mobility to introduce an on-demand autonomous vehicle service, with the pilot scheduled to begin in early 2027.
The service will initially use two autonomous vehicles developed by WeRide, each accommodating up to eight passengers with a trained safety operator on board.
Further trials will be conducted to assess routes, booking procedures and safety before the service begins.
Building on Sentosa’s earlier autonomous vehicle trial in 2019, the initiative will operate alongside existing buses and beach shuttles.
Findings will help determine how autonomous transport could be integrated into the island’s longer-term transport network.
