SIMAGIC has officially launched the TB-Neo, a new modular sim racing handbrake featuring a 100 kg load cell, adjustable elastomer resistance and optional hydraulic and haptic upgrades for $139. SIMAGIC has expanded its NEO hardware range with the launch of the TB-Neo Handbrake, a new force-based handbrake designed for rally, drifting and other disciplines where progressive control is important. Priced at $139, the TB-Neo uses a 100 kg load cell rather than relying primarily on lever travel to measure input. SIMAGIC is positioning the new model around modularity, allowing users to change its mechanical resistance and later add hydraulic damping or telemetry-driven haptic feedback without replacing the complete unit. The TB-Neo is available now through SIMAGIC and its authorized retailers. 100kg Load Cell and Adjustable Resistance At the centre of the TB-Neo is a 100 kg load cell, combined with a 12-bit sensor providing 4,096 input steps. SIMAGIC says the handbrake also uses its Full-Range Adaptive Sensing Technology, based around a cascaded amplification circuit intended to preserve detail across both lighter and heavier inputs. Rather than using a fixed resistance configuration, the TB-Neo incorporates an elastomer-based system similar in concept to SIMAGIC’s P1000 pedal platform. Users can combine different elastomers to alter the resistance curve and overall lever feel, with the company’s P-ORP elastomers also compatible between the two products. Travel, spring tension, resistance, dead zone and response linearity can all be adjusted. The main structure combines a die-cast aluminium body with CNC-machined components, while the handle itself uses POM material. The complete unit measures 209.5 x 73.5 x 382.5 mm and weighs 1.36 kg. Hydraulic and Haptic Upgrades The most distinctive feature of the TB-Neo is its upgrade path.
