Live facial recognition technology will be used in Southend.
The deployment on Sunday, May 3, is part of efforts to arrest individuals who have committed offences.
The technology aids in locating those wanted for serious crimes, helps enforce orders against individuals on a 'watch list,' and protects vulnerable individuals.
Images of those not on the watch list are deleted immediately and are not stored.

Since the first use of the technology last year, it has helped to make dozens of arrests, including individuals wanted for sexual abuse, domestic violence, aggravated burglary, and assault.
The police say the use of live facial recognition is one of a raft of tactics to keep people safe.
The operation will be carried out by Essex Police.
