STMicroelectronics and COMPRION team up to tackle SGP.32 testing challenge

STMicroelectronics and COMPRION have developed a jointly validated test environment aimed at helping developers test IoT devices using the GSMA’s SGP.32 eSIM specification.

SGP.32 introduces the IoT Profile Assistant (IPA), which manages eSIM profiles in connected devices and acts as an intermediary between the device’s eUICC and the eSIM IoT Remote Manager (eIM).

“Many companies are currently developing components for the SGP.32 ecosystem for the first time,” said Dr Marcus Dormanns, Director Product Management & Business Development at COMPRION.

The test environment combines COMPRION’s eUICC Profile Manager with Loader IoT and Network Bridge tools with STMicroelectronics’ ST4SIM-300 eUICC.

STMicroelectronics is also providing an IPAd sample implementation that developers can use as a starting point for their own implementations.
