Super Woden GP 3 was announced in April as a surprise new entry in the revered indie racing series. Unlike its isometric predecessor, the third entry takes the series in a new direction, switching to a 3D chase camera perspective. Since the announcement, the Steam page is now live, revealing new gameplay details and screenshots. For returning players, the third instalment will have a familiar setup. You start with a modest budget, before buying your first car, earning credits from races and expanding your garage. Once again, the “massive” career mode is presented in a classic, Gran Turismo-esque world map scattered with dealerships, race events and workshops for tuning your cars. Outside the single-player campaign, the Steam page reveals that Super Woden GP 3 will support local split-screen multiplayer for up to four players. Indie developer ViJuDa promises a “huge variety of vehicles,” ranging from compacts to classic sports cars, GT cars and prototypes. Rally cars will also feature, with vehicles presumably carrying over from the Rally Edge spin-off. There are no licensed vehicles, but they are heavily inspired by real-world models such as the Chevrolet Corvette, Dodge Charger Daytona, Ford Mustang Mazda 787b, Toyota GT-One, Volkswagen Beetle, among others shown in screenshots. Each vehicle will also be fully customisable, with paint options and performance upgrades As for locations, tracks range from cities and mountains to deserts, forests and snowy environments. Presented in a comic-book-inspired art style, circuits from previous games are set to return, including Denise Beach and Denise North. Others will be inspired by real-world locations, including a Tsukuba-inspired location previewed in a recent gameplay video. Can you guess which circuit this track is inspired by? #SuperWodenGP3 I'll be showing more things soon, I need to pace myself and keep working really hard! Thanks for the support so
