The TALQ Consortium, a global standardisation body for smart city interoperability, has partnered with CICAT, the lighting cluster of Catalonia, to advance open and interoperable outdoor lighting systems in Spain and internationally.
The event takes place on 2 November 2026 in Barcelona, Spain, the day before the Smart City Expo World Congress opens in the same city.
“This year it feels to us as if all pieces of a large puzzle are falling into place,” says Simon Dunkley, secretary general of the TALQ Consortium.
Founded in 2012, the TALQ Consortium has established a globally accepted standard for management software interfaces to control and monitor heterogeneous smart city applications.
LUCI (Lighting Urban Community International) was created in 2002 and is based in Lyon, France.
