Tesla is gradually turning autonomous driving into a video game. If you have been using Full Self-Driving (Supervised) recently, your Tesla might soon throw a mini party on your center screen to celebrate your driving habits. David Moss (@DavidMoss), a Tesla owner who previously made headlines for going almost 13,000 miles on FSD without a single intervention and completing the first fully autonomous, coast-to-coast drive across Canada, noticed a surprise on his screen when going out for a drive on Friday morning. “My 2025 Model 3 screen this morning when backing out of the driveway just randomly congratulated me all at once back to back on passing FSD streak of 250, 500, 1000, & 5000 miles,” he said on X, noting that he’s currently going on 8,767 miles without an intervention. The Evolution of FSD Gamification These new celebratory graphics add to a pattern of gamification that has been solidifying with recent FSD updates. First, FSD v14.2 introduced a dedicated Self-Driving Stats section in the vehicle menu to track the total ratio of autonomous versus manual miles driven.
