The Pentagon Issues Conditional Approval for Autonomous Industrial Vehicles Under FCC Framework

Affordable Robotic & Automation Limited will be able to enter the U.S. material-handling market with its autonomous forklifts and pallet trucks.

The Department of Defense has issued a conditional approval to Affordable Robotic & Automation Limited (ARAPL) for specific autonomous forklifts and pallet trucks.

This approval grants exemptions from the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Covered List restrictions for foreign-produced robotic devices introduced in July of 2026.

The approvals include robotic device categories including robotic lawn mowers, autonomous mobile robots, automated guided vehicles, industrial robots, and other robotic platforms.
