Road Kings will be released on 11th March 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Confirmed as part of the Gamescom Opening Night presentation, the truck simulation will see players explore and complete jobs across the American South.
Published by Focus Interactive, alongside CLUTCH, it uses Saber Interactive’s game tech (seen in the likes of Expeditions, Snow Runner and the upcoming Stuntman: Hollywood) to deliver dynamic weather.
This comes in the form of extreme storm conditions and evolving road surfaces that can cause punctures. Consequently, saving communities and delivering key supplies will be among the mission types, which differentiates it from most other similar titles.
Haulage drivers will also have to manage regular delivery jobs, keeping an eye on cash reserves and job requests, without alerting the cops to any poor driving. Driver scheduling and rest stops must be managed, including sleep stops.
Traxion tested an early build last year on a setup with a truck-specific wheel, and the option of manually selecting between the 18 gears. Back then, it was slated for a 2026 release.
