How do you plan the city of tomorrow without compromising the quality of life of today? It's a question more cities are facing as populations grow, climate change intensifies and infrastructure is put under increasing pressure. What I find inspiring is how the University of Moncton is tackling this challenge. Together with Dassault Systèmes, they've created a virtual twin of the Moncton-Dieppe region to explore urban densification, affordable housing, mobility and environmental preservation before decisions are made in the real world. By simulating different scenarios, they're helping planners make more informed decisions, protect biodiversity and build smarter communities.
