The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) awarded $200 million for 14 truck parking projects across 12 states, targeting additional commercial vehicle parking along interstate, port, and border freight corridors.
The INFRA truck parking awards use a dedicated fiscal year 2026 funding track for commercial motor vehicle parking.
USDOT said the projects will expand public truck parking along major freight corridors.
The North Carolina State Ports Authority was awarded $6 million for approximately 140 truck parking spaces at the Port of Wilmington.
