LEAWOOD, Kan. — Police in Leawood, Kansas, say a car, found in a neighborhood retention pond, is connected to a missing persons investigation.
A volunteer dive team found a car at the bottom of a retention pond in Leawood, Kansas, Saturday morning, according to police.
The team, using a GIS satellite image, deployed sonar equipment to search the body of water located in the 14700 block of Norwood.
The diver found a car with a license plate that matched a vehicle connected to a missing person, according to police.
With help from the Overland Park Police dive team, a tow truck removed the vehicle from the pond.
