It's a good time for car TV—or at least there's the potential for it to be a good time. After a bit of a lull over the past couple of years, Amazon Prime announced a new season of The Grand Tour with new hosts taking the roles formerly held by the famed Top Gear trio of Richard Hammond, James May, and Jeremy Clarkson. While we're on the topic, Top Gear is coming back too, with new hosts of its own. While the Top Gear hosts have yet to be announced, The Grand Tour not only has its hosts, but it has a whole season shot and ready to air on Prime Video starting Friday, September 4, 2026. Starring in those episodes will be James Engelsman and Thomas Holland, who run the popular Throttle House YouTube channel. Also added to the mix is Francis Bourgeois, best known for his train-enthusiast social media posts.
