EVANSVILLE, Ind.
(WFIE/Gray News) - An Indiana woman who pleaded guilty to charges stemming from a deadly DUI crash has learned her sentence this week.
Authorities said Edmonds pleaded guilty to two counts of causing death when operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance.
According to Evansville police, Edmonds’ vehicle hit and killed Mark Jeffers and Regina Hinkel as they were crossing the street in July 2024.
Investigators said a toxicology report at that time showed Edmonds tested positive for high levels of methamphetamine.
