Max Verstappen finishes 2nd at Austrian GP The hottest race of the season delivered spectacular duels as Max Verstappen pushed his tyres to the limit to score his second podium of the season. In sweltering conditions in Spielberg, Max Verstappen kept his cool as he delivered a stunning drive to secure second place at the Austrian Grand Prix. The four-time world champion started from fifth on the grid before executing a series of expert overtakes as he pushed to catch race leader George Russell of Mercedes. The Oracle Red Bull Racing driver then went from hunter to hunted over the final laps at the Red Bull Ring, showcasing his defensive skills as he held off a late charge from Russell’s team-mate and world championship leader Kimi Antonelli. Round 2 of the Manawatu Car Club E-Series was hosted by the second biggest race track in the UK Snetterton. We welcomed our new series sponsor Courtesy Ford Manawatu on board, thank you for your support. With the biggest field of entry’s to date at 32 we knew it was going to be a round full of action. Qualifying was taken out by Daniel Hetterscheid who put in an impressive time of 1:49.324 to sit him on pole position for race 1. Next to him on the front row was Dylan Walker who missed out on the top spot by 0.182. Race 1 saw a clean start by majority of the front pack leaving behind the remaining field of cars to fight there way into position with some contact and spins seen by some. With clear track in front of him for the 8 lap race Daniel Hetterscheid crossed the line picking himself up the top points. Dylan Walker was close behind to pick up second place and Dallas Alexander made up 4 grid places for third to complete the podium. The 15 lap feature race with a reverse grid based on results from race 1 placed Hetterscheid at the back of the pack promoting. MCC member Derek Clarke to begin the race on the front row next to Mason Wheeler. As expected with Snettertons track design making turn 1 big enough to think you have room then a short straight to the turn 2 hair pin it was all on for young and old. A number of damaged cars spent there first lap limping back to the pit area for repairs, which seemed to be the theme for this race as results showed 5 DQs and 5 lapped cars. But the chequered flag declared Zach Wendt-Smith the winner. Second

- Ford F-150 pickup truck showcased in new ATS video - Ford Car Pack DLC set for release as part of new Road Trip mode American Truck Simulator’s upcoming Road Trip mode is set to revolutionise the game by offering several drivable road cars, SUVs and pickup trucks to players. First revealed in April last year, progress on Road Trip mode is now at the stage where developer SCS Software has revealed in-game footage of the Ford F-150, which is set to utilise the game’s improved materials system introduced in the recent V1.60 update. This is more apparent in the preview video, as it’s the Lariat version of the F-150, which adds heated and cooled leather seats and an upgraded infotainment system to the Dearborn marque’s best-selling car. Set for inclusion in the Ford Car Pack DLC, the F-150 will be joined by the Ford Mustang 1967, Ford Bronco 2023 and two versions of the Ford Crown Victoria (1998 and 2012), with a further RAM and Dodge car pack also announced. Circling back to the F-150, its model appears extremely detailed inside and out, with functioning indicators, electric windows, and sat nav, plus 360-degree parking cameras to aid tight manoeuvring. Developed over three months, the $60,000 simulator features a customized look tailored to Antonelli’s preferences. It’s a remarkable creation, and the racer is a big fan of it. This racing simulator comes in handy for Kimi Antonelli in more ways than one There are two primary functions of this racing simulator for Antonelli – entertainment in which he plays iRacing with his friends, and professional training in which he preps for upcoming race weekends. The simulator makes extensive use of carbon fiber from the floor tray to the rear plate. The color scheme is matte black and metallic silver, with turquoise stitching and trim. The highlight of the festival is the PVOIL Cup Northern Gymkhana Championship (PVOIL VGC) 2026 - the second qualifying round of the national Gymkhana Championship system, where outstanding drivers compete fiercely for a ticket to the national finals. Organized by the Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Vietnam Motor Sports Federation (VMF), the tournament further affirms the systematic development direction of the motorsport movement in Vietnam, while expanding the experiential space for tourists through a festival model combining sports and tourism. Right from the first runs, the track witnessed a series of highly precise technical maneuvers. In Gymkhana, where every cone determines the outcome and errors are measured in milliseconds, racers must seamlessly combine vehicle control, optimal racing line selection, traction management, and throttle and brake control to maintain high speed while ensuring absolute precision. There is no room for error. Just one inaccurate steering maneuver, one missed cone, or one late corner entry can cause an athlete to lose their advantage after many perfect laps. This year's competition brings together 27 athletes, including 13 drivers competing in the Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) category and 14 drivers in the Rear-Wheel Drive/All-Wheel Drive (RWD/AWD) category. These are all drivetrain configurations requiring different driving skills, resulting in diverse and highly strategic competitions. From qualifying to the two final runs, the drivers consistently improved their performance with each start, delivering clean runs with precise trajectories, agile steering, and impressive speed.
