Three grand for a handheld gaming PC. Let that sink in for a second. For context, that’s RTX 4070 laptop territory, or a solid desktop build with a 4060 Ti and plenty left over for peripherals. But here’s Lenovo with the Legion Go 2, asking premium laptop money for something that fits in your backpack. The PC gaming community isn’t taking this news quietly. The discussion started heating up when the pricing details surfaced, and the reactions have been… intense. “Lenovo hikes Legion Go 2 handheld gaming PC to almost $3,000 for 2 TB model” — u/PaiDuck on r/pcgaming That Reddit thread pretty much sums up the community sentiment. When your handheld costs more than most people’s entire gaming setup, you’re going to catch some heat. The original Legion Go launched around $700-800, so we’re looking at nearly a 4x price jump for the premium model. That’s not an incremental upgrade – that’s a completely different product category. The specs better be absolutely bonkers to justify this pricing. We’re talking about a device that needs to outperform not just the Steam Deck OLED ($649) and ROG Ally ($700), but also compete with actual gaming laptops in the same price range. A $3,000 gaming laptop gets you serious horsepower – RTX 4070/4080 class GPUs, high-refresh displays, and desktop-class cooling solutions. For handhelds, the value proposition has always been about compromise. You sacrifice some performance for portability. You get decent 1080p gaming instead of 1440p ultra settings. That’s the trade-off that made the Steam Deck successful – solid performance at a reasonable price point. But at $3K, Lenovo is betting on a different market entirely. This isn’t competing with budget handhelds anymore. They’re going after the premium segment – people who want desktop-class gaming in a portable form factor and don’t mind

A new week brings a new set of Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races, with three fresh events now live and running through next Monday. It’s a fairly standard week, with a one-make sprint, a Gr.3 middle distance, and a Gr.4 strategic finale, but the difficulty curve ramps up for Race C. Race A drops you into the Mercedes-AMG GT S around Tokyo Expressway East, and if that combination sounds like a recipe for chaos, that’s because it is. Four laps of the clockwise layout with twelve cars, unforgiving concrete on both sides, and precisely nowhere to go when someone ahead of you misjudges a braking zone. This one is almost entirely about slipstream management and staying out of trouble. Race B is the palate cleanser: Gr.3 around Deep Forest for six laps on Racing Mediums, a classic combo. The Porsche 992 GT3 R is a safe pick to be competitive, though Deep Forest’s elevation changes and blind crests tend to reward whatever you’re most comfortable with. Race C is where the week actually gets interesting. Eleven laps of Catalunya’s no-chicane GP layout in Gr.4, with 2x fuel, 4x tire wear, and mandatory use of both Racing Hard and Racing Medium compounds. There’s no minimum pit stop listed in the regulations, but with the compound rule in force you’ll be stopping at least once whether you like it or not. Fail to use both sets and you’re eating a penalty. The strategic question is when. Stopping early on the Mediums gets you onto fresher rubber ahead of the pack and into clean air, which can be worth a lot at a circuit where traffic in the final sector is punishing. Stopping late lets you attack on softer tires at the end, but risks losing time behind anyone who pitted before you.
SNOHOMISH COUNTY – Washington State Scholastic Esports Association (WSSEA) High School Esports State Championship is returning to Lynnwood, Washington, with a new location for 2026. This year the state championships will be at the Alderwood Mall. The WSSEA Main Event ’26 Esports will be Saturday, May 16, 2026. Thirty-two high school teams with over 250 students will be competing in the finals for Overwatch, Splatoon 3, and Smash Bros. Ultimate. High school teams from across Washington will compete in the spring season for the chance to make it to the finals for each game title. In addition to live gaming action, there will be family activities including SIM racing, game developers, and interactive booths. Students can talk with industry experts at the Career Fair Expo and connect with college esports coaches to learn about their programs. “Main Event ’26 is about so much more than who wins the championship in Overwatch, Smash, or Splatoon. When these teams walk into Alderwood Mall on May 16th, they’re representing their schools, their communities, and a generation of students who’ve found something they’re genuinely passionate about,” states Jake Voss, WSSEA Executive Direct. “We’ve seen the data, students in scholastic esports show up more to school, make more friends, and are more likely to pursue careers in technology and STEM. But the numbers only tell part of the story. The real magic happens in the room, when a kid from Eastern Washington goes head-to-head against a team from the coast, and both walk away feeling like they belong somewhere. That’s what we’re building here in Washington State, a place of belonging and inclusivity.” With the Main Event ’26 at the Alderwood Mall, it creates new opportunities. Voss states “And the best part? Anyone can walk through those doors and be a part of it. Main

Kunos Simulazioni opens the door to modding and private servers in version 0.6 of Assetto Corsa EVO It seems they are trying to win back the support of fans following the questionable decisions of recent months, which largely removed single-player content. Last February, Kunos Simulazioni released version 0.5 of Assetto Corsa EVO, which added new circuits and vehicles to the game, but also divided the fan community by removing Career Mode—the main single-player attraction—as it looked to a future focused more on competitive play and the sandbox experience. It seems the feedback must have reached the boardroom of the Italian simulation studio because they have now released update 0.6 for Assetto Corsa EVO (thanks, Traxion), and this one does indeed appear to be seeking to build new bridges with players. In addition to the six new vehicles coming to the game and a new circuit (Sebring, which was already teased in the 0.5 trailer back in February), from now on you'll be able to create dedicated, self-managed AC EVO servers via Steam. Until now, server usage had to be outsourced to third parties, with costs ranging from €5 to €15 per month, but this will no longer be the case. New cars and circuits in Assetto Corsa Evo v.0.6 New cars - Audi R8 LMS GT4 Evo - Ferrari 296 GT3 - Ferrari 288 GTO - Ford Mustang GT3 - Lamborghini Countach LP5000 QV - Porsche 992 GT3 R Rennsport Circuits - Sebring - Update to the 2026 Nürburgring Nordschleife layout Last but not least, the process for remapping the Assetto Corsa EVO control scheme—whether using standard controllers or dedicated sim-racing gear—has been greatly simplified, and will now be more similar to what we already see in Assetto Corsa Competizione or Assetto Corsa Rally.
- Primary Subject: Flight Simulators for Beginners (2026 Guide) - Key Update: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 recently launched the detailed iniBuilds TriStar Airliner and confirmed Sim Update Five will introduce PlayStation Virtual Reality Two support. - Status: Confirmed - Last Verified: April 10, 2026 - Quick Answer: Beginners should start with Microsoft Flight Simulator via Game Pass for civilian flight or War Thunder for free combat using a standard controller or joystick. Flight simulators have this reputation for being the hobby of retired airline pilots or rich aviation geeks with $10,000 cockpit setups in their garages. And look, some of them are exactly that. Hell, I wish I could afford a setup too. But the genre is a lot more welcoming than it looks from the outside, and getting started is genuinely more accessible than it was even five years ago. If you've ever looked at a flight sim and thought "that's not for me," give this a read before writing it off entirely. What Kind of Flying Do You Actually Want to Do? Before downloading anything, it helps to figure out which side of the genre appeals to you. Flight simulation broadly splits into two camps: combat and civilian. Combat sims put you in military aircraft, often historical, and center the experience around dogfights, bombing runs, and tactical missions. Civilian sims are about the craft of flying itself, whether that's navigating real-world airways in a commercial airliner or buzzing low over mountain ranges in a Cessna. Neither is better than the other. They scratch completely different itches, and your time is better spent picking a lane early. Combat Flight Sims and Their Games If the appeal is shooting things out of the sky, the combat sim space has a few standout options worth knowing about. DCS World is the

The Formula 1 paddock is no stranger to the "silly season," but Ralf Schumacher has just turned the heat up another notch. The catalyst for this latest firestorm is last week’s news that Gianpiero Lambiase – the voice in Max Verstappen’s ear and the architect of his four world titles – is ditching Red Bull Racing for McLaren. While the official line says Lambiase will join team papaya as its Chef Racing officer, reporting to Andrea Stella, no later than 2028, Schumacher is already smelling a tactical coup that could upend the entire grid. The theory? A direct swap that would see Verstappen following his engineer to McLaren, while the young sensation Oscar Piastri heads the other way to spearhead a new era at Red Bull. Wild speculation running rampant Speaking to Sky Sports Germany, Schumacher laid out a scenario that balances on the edge of the unthinkable. “This could mean he leaves Red Bull because he no longer believes in the team and quits altogether, especially since he never tires of emphasising how boring he finds Formula 1,” Schumacher noted. “Or, he goes to McLaren with his engineer, which would equally mean that there are negotiations underway at McLaren for Oscar Piastri to go to Red Bull, something we’ve seen before.” The logic relies heavily on the "package deal" nature of the Verstappen-Lambiase relationship. Schumacher is convinced that the timelines currently being floated – suggesting Lambiase will stay at Red Bull until early 2028 – are merely a starting point for a messy divorce settlement. “I think there will be some negotiations between the two parties,” he explained. “I can’t imagine him finishing 2027 at Red Bull. It will now be about a transfer fee, because when a decision is made this early, it’s usually the engineer who leaves.”

The Forza Horizon series has finally made it to Japan, and it couldn’t have been grander than this. Forza Horizon 6 features more than 550+ cars and Tokyo as its main city, making the game a dream come true for countless gamers and sim racers. For many, racing is synonymous with Japan, and Playground Games has every intention of paying respect to it, starting with including some of the most iconic racing pop-culture references inside the game. The Forza Horizon 6 map, a look at which was released earlier this week, revealed that it will be featuring the iconic Akina Pass Route from Initial D, which is, if not the most, then one of the most influential racing anime of all time. Forza Horizon 6 Has an Initial D Reference Embedded in Its Map The internet has been buzzing ever since Playground Games dropped the full map reveal for Forza Horizon 6, and Initial D fans have every reason to be excited. Located on the very top right of the map, players were able to locate the very distinctive Akina Pass route on the map, which functions as the home course for Takumi Fujiwara, the main character of the anime. Playground Games itself confirmed the connection, officially stating that Forza Horizon 6‘s Japan includes world-famous routes inspired by the C1 loop and Gingko Avenue, as well as mountain passes such as Mt. Haruna and Bandai Azuma. Moreover, there is more than one route taken from Initial D in the upcoming game. Spotted on the bottom left corner of the map, on what is a road that is likely based on Hokone’s Nanamagari, is the home course of Team Spiral, a fictional group of racers in the anime. The most iconic driver-race engineer partnerships in F1 history The impending departure of Gianpiero Lambiase from Red Bull will bring to a close one of the most renowned partnerships between a race engineer and a driver. The impending departure of Gianpiero Lambiase from Red Bull will bring to a close one of the most renowned partnerships between a race engineer and a driver, with "GP" and Max Verstappen having delivered four Drivers’ titles and dozens of pole positions and race wins since they began working together in 2016. Across the past three decades or so the role of race engineer has significantly evolved amid the growth of the F1 teams, while the advent of team radio broadcasts on television coverage has heightened public awareness and raised the profile of the people carrying out this critical job. We’ve picked out some of the other most famous driver-race engineer relationships in Formula 1. Jacques Villeneuve and Jock Clear Hotshot Jacques Villeneuve landed in F1 with Williams in 1996 after success in the US and was immediately a front-runner, swiftly building a rapport with Jock Clear. The pair won the 1997 Drivers’ title together, and Clear followed Villeneuve to the start-up BAR operation when the Canadian made the surprising career switch. Clear continued to engineer Villeneuve until the driver quit BAR-Honda before the final round of 2003. “I think as a personality he has so much self confidence that puts him in good stead in pretty much most of the situations that he’s been in as a racing driver,” Clear told F1’s Beyond the Grid podcast in 2021. “But the downside of that is that it did mean he would come up with some pretty weird ideas about why things weren’t going right for him. Gianni Lasserre will make his NASCAR Euro Series debut in the Rookie Challenge – The Speedhouse driver will drive the No. 5 Academy — Caffi car In the world of international touring car racing, some names simply carry the weight of the checkered flag. For the 2026 season, a familiar surname returns to the NASCAR Euro Series grid with a fresh face behind the wheel. Speedhouse has officially pulled the sheet off their latest weapon for the Rookie Challenge: Gianni Lasserre. The move marks a moving coming of home for the young Frenchman. Having spent his childhood as a fixture in the paddock, Gianni Lasserre is transitioning from the “kid of the circuit” to a full-time contender in the most prestigious touring series on the continent. While he is signed to the Speedhouse stable for the long haul, he will make his initial splash at the season opener in Valencia under the Academy / Alex Caffi Motorsport banner – a strategic partnership aimed at getting the rookie vital seat time. For Speedhouse owner and veteran racer Lucas Lasserre, this isn’t just a personnel move; it’s the culmination of a decade of development. Lucas Lasserre, a man who has lived and breathed the roar of a V8 for years, sees this as the logical next step for the Speedhouse Karting Academy standout. “I’m really happy to announce Gianni Lasserre – from the Basque Country – onboard at Speedhouse for the 2026 season and beyond in the Rookie Challenge,” Lucas Lasserre stated. “As you know, Gianni is my son and this is the kid of the series. He has followed me everywhere for a long time and I am extremely happy to have the possibility to integrate him into our program. “He also has been a Speedhouse Karting Academy driver since the
You know Formula 1 has come a long way in the United States when you can walk into an IMAX movie theater and watch a freakin’ Grand Prix live. Heck, I remember when I used to have to add the “Speedvision” option to my mom’s cable TV package so I could watch a sport that was obscure to most Americans. Starting with the Miami Grand Prix on May 3, folks will be able to watch select 2026 races at IMAX theaters across the country. This new viewing modality is part of Apple TV’s new broadcasting strategy to grow the sport even more domestically. Folks who decide to make the pilgrimage to the theater rather than watch on Apple TV from home will be treated to a 150-minute broadcast, which includes 15 minutes of pre-show action, the full race, and podium celebrations. Poking around my local IMAX theater website, it looks like tickets will run $30 plus fees, though that’ll likely vary by location. For what it’s worth, I think the best part of this gig is the fact that you’ll be able to interact with fellow F1 fans, rather than be a hermit at home. God knows I’ve spent the last 30+ years of F1 fandom screaming at the TV alone, and oftentimes at odd hours of the night. Besides Miami, you’ll be able to watch the following 2026 races on IMAX screens: - Miami Grand Prix – May 3, 2026 - Monaco Grand Prix – June 7, 2026 - British Grand Prix – July 5, 2026 - Italian Grand Prix – September 6, 2026 - United States Grand Prix – October 25, 2026 I personally won’t give this a shot for Miami because I’ll be at the race in person, but I might consider it for another race later
