Forza Horizon has always occupied a strange place in racing games. It's more approachable than simulation-heavy racers like Assetto Corsa or iRacing, but it's also far more nuanced than people sometimes give it credit for. On a controller, it's easy to lose yourself in the spectacle — especially in the lush Japanese setting of Forza Horizon 6. Blasting through rural fields, drifting around sweeping cherry blossom-laden street corners, and bouncing between supercars with barely a second’s thought are as exhilarating as they are endlessly enjoyable. But it's also effortless when you’re only using your thumbs. Sitting behind a proper racing wheel and cockpit changes all of that. After spending time playing Forza Horizon 6 with Logitech's RS ecosystem — including the RS wheel, RS pedals, clutch module, and Playseat Trophy racing seat — I don't think I can go back to a controller, nor do I ever want to. Not because the racing wheel suddenly turns Horizon 6 into a hardcore simulator, but because it makes every drive feel tangible in a way a controller simply can't replicate. Logitech’s RS ecosystem transforms a game I'd happily zone out with into one that constantly demands my attention, rewards precision, and somehow makes every victory feel more earned. The first thing that surprised me was the sheer level of immersion you can get from a cockpit setup. There's something fundamentally different about physically climbing into a racing seat, planting your feet on a set of pedals, and wrapping your hands around a steering wheel before you even press the accelerator. It's the kind of setup that tricks your brain into treating Horizon 6 differently, and makes you feel like Max Verstappen, if only for a brief moment. Instead of absentmindedly flicking a thumbstick while leaning back on the couch, you're actively using

TRUCKS: Failing cool suit on a scorching North Wilkesboro track puts Donovan Strauss out of his Truck Series debut by Brock Beard / LASTCAR.info Editor-in-Chief Donovan Strauss picked up the 1st last-place finish of his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series career in Saturday’s Faith Fest 250 at the North Wilkesboro Speedway when his #4 Nightclubs Suck Chevrolet fell out with overheating issues after he completed 134 of 250 laps. The finish came in Strauss’ series debut. In the Truck Series’ last-place rankings, it was the 10th for the #4, the 27th from overheating issues, and the 470th for Chevrolet. Across NASCAR’s top three series, it was the 79th for the #4, the 185th from overheating, and the 2,055th for Chevrolet. Like many other young drivers in today’s NASCAR, the 20-year-old Strauss cut his teeth in sim racing, earning his place in the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series driving for Williams eSports. He then made the jump to late models in the CARS Late Model Stock Tour, where he’s turned many laps on the North Wilkesboro track for AK Performance. It was then announced earlier this month that Strauss would make his first Truck Series attempt for Niece Motorsports in their part-time #4. He’d be sponsored by Nightclubs Suck, an athletic apparel company co-founded by Ty Martin and Clayton Wilson. The team’s press release indicated promo code “Strauss” would earn fans 15% off their online orders. Strauss was one of 39 drivers originally entered to attempt Sunday’s field of 36, the largest entry list since the season opener in Daytona. But that list was trimmed down by midweek after Carl Long withdrew the #69 Ford for driver Jonathan Shafer, allowing Long and his Garage 66 effort to focus on Chad Fincuhum’s Cup effort at the track on Sunday. Of the 38 teams that

Wales' first Esports world champion hopes win will open doors in Formula One Seeing the dragon flag on the top step of the podium, with a Welshman crowned world Formula One champion, may sound an unlikely fantasy. But it's one Otis Lawrence, 18, from Swansea, has achieved - albeit in F1 Esports. This isn't quite the world of Lando Norris and Max Verstappen but a professional programme promoted by Formula One, which involves young drivers using simulators with the official video game. Otis believes it has given him "another way" into the elitist world of motor sport which some feel you have to be a millionaire to participate in. Many successful drivers also use simulators - with some saying it gives them the chance to try new things and experiment. Otis not only became the first Welshman to win the title, but the youngest F1 Esports world champion in history. "You don't really see many Welsh people that are successful in motor sport these days," he said. "So I'm really proud to represent the country, it's super cool." What is F1 Sim Racing? F1 Sim Racing is a professional programme, promoted by Formula One using the Esports game. It was created in 2017 using the official video game to allow its community of gamers to have better engagement with the sport. More than 60,000 people tried to qualify for the finals in the first season, and these were watched by viewers from 123 countries. It has grown every year since. The overall prize money for the competition is $750,000 (£562,000), which is split between all the teams - depending on their finishing place. While Otis won the series, his team, Alpine, finished second overall, meaning they took home $107,000 (£80,000) to be split between members. He hopes it will "open
